BSP’s “Go Green” project goes to Paraiso ng Batang Maynila
On June 19, 2008 several BSP National Office staff joined more than 100 Scouts and Scouters from the BSP Manila Council in going to Vitos, Tondo, Manila to participate in the inauguration rites of “Paraiso ng Batang Maynila,” a children’s park created under the leadership of Manila Mayor Fred Lim.
BSP’s special participation in the said event was arranged just a few weeks before the inauguration rites. On May 24, Mayor Fred Lim was the special guest of honor in the formal launching event of the Go Green! Go for the Real Thing!” project of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) in partnership with Coca-Cola. Impressed by the program, Mayor Lim invited the BSP to plant trees in the children’s park that he is opening in June.
Thus led to the very meaningful participation of BSP in the inauguration of the city’s new children’s park. Some 30 trees from the Go Green! Go for the Real Thing! Tree Nursery were brought to the site and planted on the same day.
Joining Mayor Lim and representing BSP National President Jojo Binay in the event was BSP Secretary General J. Rizal Pangilinan. BSP National Executive Board Member and Go Green! Go for the Real Thing! primary proponent, Jose Eduardo C. Delgado, was also present.

Mayor Lim should request the Boy Scouts to plant more trees on all public parks in the city of Manila.
This is a great project! its a help for our community. More power BSP!
