Go Green! goes to Angono

In cooperation with the Rotary Club of East Rizal and Barangay San Roque, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines planted 200 trees at Biga Park, Brgy San Roque, Angono Rizal. This happened through the initiative of NEB Member Nemi Miranda. Mayor AU Villamayor of Angono was the guest of honor and speaker in the said event.
Field Services Division Director Rogelio S. Villa, Jr. represented the BSP Secretary General and delivered the Message. Southern Tagalog Regional Scout Director Expedito P. Eduarte also graced the said occasion.
Three troops of Scouts were present to participate on the said activity. Mayor Villamayor appreciated the gesture of the BSP by helping the Municipality of Angono in planting trees at their place.
Villamayor also mentioned on her speech that this kind of activity is very timely, because the local government is also into this endeavor.
“Through the help of these Scouts, Mother Earth will have a chance to recover from global warming.” Villamayor added.
All tree saplings planted at Biga Park came from the Go Green! Tree Nursery.
